A Little History Lesson

So, Oliver has started learning about WW2 at school, and naturally, Anne Frank came up in conversation. He was really interested, so when I mentioned I had the book The Diary of a Young Girl, he couldn’t resist and borrowed it to read. I love how his curiosity has sparked an interest in such an important historical figure. It’s amazing to see him diving into real stories from the past. Fingers crossed he finds it as eye-opening and inspiring as I did. It’s definitely a book everyone should read at some point! #WW2Learning #AnneFrank #FamilyReads #HistoryAtHome

Celebrating Sandra’s Birthday

Tonight we went out to celebrate David’s mum, Sandra’s birthday with a lovely meal at Ashoka Southside. We all love the food there, and once again, it didn’t disappoint! Sandra really enjoys this restaurant, so it felt like the perfect spot to mark her special day. Great food, good company, and lots of laughs—just the way a birthday should be. ❤️ Happy Birthday, Sandra!

Welcome to the World, Baby Sophie!

A Great Afternoon with Family

We had such a lovely afternoon today, spending time with family and meeting Laura’s brother for the first time! It was great to finally put a face to the name and get to know him. We also had the pleasure of seeing mum Beatriz again, which was wonderful.

The kids had a blast and it was just a nice, relaxed time with lots of laughs, catching up, and making new memories. Can’t wait for more days like this!

Afternoon Tea at Brewhemia to Celebrate Our Birthdays!

What a wonderful afternoon I had today, celebrating all of our birthdays with Joanne and Lesley-Ann!

We gathered at Brewhemia for a gorgeous afternoon tea – the perfect spot to relax, chat, and indulge in delicious treats. From delicate finger sandwiches to perfectly crafted cakes and scones, everything was absolutely scrumptious. The atmosphere was cosy and festive, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to mark the occasion.

Such a lovely time spent with amazing friends – here’s to many more celebrations and sweet moments together!

New Year’s Eve Celebrations!

Tonight was one of our favorite traditions – David and I had our usual curry at the Ashoka, followed by a few drinks at The Bank. The food was, as always, delicious, and the company was even better.

This year was extra special, though, as it was the first time Alexander stayed up to see the bells!  It felt like a big moment for him, and the excitement in the air was contagious as we counted down to the New Year together.

A perfect way to end the year, surrounded by great food, drinks, and family. Here’s to many more memories in the year ahead!

Panto Time! Oh Yes It Is! – Peter Pan

It’s that time of year again… Panto season! This year, we headed out to enjoy the classic tale of Peter Pan, and what a fantastic time we had. From the very first “Oh no it isn’t!” to the final applause, it was full of laughs, songs, and all the usual panto magic.

The boys were on the edge of their seats. The interaction with the audience was brilliant, and the kids couldn’t stop joining in with the shout-outs. The whole cast really brought the story to life.

By the end, we were all singing the songs and talking about the fun we’d had. Panto really is a Christmas tradition that brings so much joy – can’t wait to see what next year brings!
